Frequently Asked Questions

Is Lansing an accessible public space?

Yes, Lansing is equipped with an elevator to service all four levels, from underground parking to the main floor. There is also a ramp at the  sidewalk at both the main and rear entrances of the church.

Is there a place for my children at Lansing?

Always! Your children are welcome to stay with you in the sanctuary (main part of the church) during the worship service. There is child care for infants to two-year-olds. Those who are older are invited to attend Sunday School.

How do we support our work and maintain the facilities for community activities?

To support Lansing, we depend mostly on the rental of our facilities to various church and community groups on a one-time or on going basis for their activities. Our church family also provides financial support to help with the church expenses. Together, these sources of income help cover the building expenses which include building maintenance, utilities, insurance and staff remuneration.

Can outside groups use the church's space?

We rent space to community groups and churches. This contributes to making Lansing an active community facility almost every day and night throughout the week and on the weekends.

Should you have questions regarding space rental requests, please visit our Rental Space tab above or phone TUCC at 905-771-5124 extension 33.

Do I need to belong to the United Church of Canada to attend Lansing?

Not at all. We welcome people of all denominations and faiths! The United Church has a history of inclusivity and you will feel right at home with your questions, doubts and individuality.
