Nearly New Shop

The Nearly New Shop accepts donations of gently used items that can be dropped off in the donation bin located near the elevator, Monday to Friday 10:00 to 4:00 (except holidays) and Sunday 10:00 to 2:00.
The Nearly New Shop was operating as a pop-up shop but now has a permanent home at Lansing! We are now able to assist people in need in real time. Our goal is to donate 75% money raised back into the community. Until then we are donating 50% to the community and 50% to cover costs incurred to keep Nearly New’s current setup. Nearly New is 100% volunteer run! For more information on what we do and do not accept, shopping dates, and a list of our community contributions, please click "Learn More" below.

Food Bank

The Lansing United Church Food Bank has been serving the local Lansing/Willowdale/North York community for more than 30 years. Starting out with just a few items on a shelf in the Minister's office, our food bank grew to supporting 200 families a month.  Unfortunately, due to the pandemic we have had to close our food bank.
However, we are still involved with food insecurity and have partnered with NeighbourLink North York and are now a food collection hub for them.
