WORSHIP

The Lansing Coffee Bar  – Open Sundays at 9:30 am every week! Come early, have a juice or coffee before and after church – visit with friends, take some time for yourself, enjoy some quiet prayer in the sanctuary…just come and be. Our worship service starts at 10:00 am on Sundays and is followed by refreshments and fellowship. This is a family-friendly service where all are welcome!

Sunday, March 15th, 2026 ~ Lent 4 and celebrating PIE Day

What is Pie Day?

PIE day was developed as a reminder for Affirming Congregations (of which Lansing is), that our commitment is to be Public about our belief that we are all created in God’s image. We need to be Intentional about our message, hence our inclusive pride flag that hangs from our welcome table each week to greet visitors. And we commit to being Explicit in our actions and words – that Lansing is a safe and welcoming place for all, regardless of how you identify, who you love, your age, your background. These are the standards we hold ourselves to.

Our PIE Day is a takeoff of what has been traditionally recognized in the Math world as π (PI)Day - March 14th an annual celebration of the mathematical constant π (pi). March is the 3rd month and 3, 1 and 4 are the first three significant figures of π.

So, we have the excuse to serve pie and celebrate the full inclusion of LGBTQIA+ and Two Spirit people in our own faith communities and across Canada.

Our Coffee Bar opens at 9:30 am 
Sunday School is available during the service

LENTEN STUDY

Meeting in the Sanctuary every Thursday in Lent from 1-2:30 pm. We are using readings from the book "Bless, Break, Share - Recipes for Living Faithfully". All are welcome and you do not have to attend all of the sessions. Just join us when you can.

QUILTING BEE

If you are interested in joining, please let the office know and we can put you in touch with the group. They meet on Wednesdays from 1-3:30 pm in room 217.

COFFEE WITH BRAD

Wednesdays from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm 

Coffee with Brad is an informal "drop in" and visit with whomever is here. There is no agenda, come whenever it suits you, bring a friend or neighbour. Brad will have coffee and tea available (and the option of decaf). Stay for as long or as short as you like. This is just an opportunity to connect. Join us Wednesdays from 1-3 pm in the Foyer.

THIS WEEK ONLY - Help Spread the Good News! 

Following the incredible success of our Christmas mailout, it’s time to reach our neighbours again for Easter! We are sending out 1,000 information packs to invite our community into the life of Lansing—sharing everything from info about us, when we worship, ways to get involved, all about Nearly New and shopping, volunteers and donation opportunities. We will also share information about the other congregations at the church, special events, the upcoming April Challenge and annual Lansing open house on March 28th – Bake Sale, Nearly New opening and our Easter services.

We have the flyers and we have the delivery team (paid students), but we need you to help us get them ready for the mailbag!

The Details

When: Wednesday, March 18th | 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Where: "Coffee with Brad" (Assembly Central!)

The Job: Simple assembling and stapling. No tricky folding required—just teamwork and conversation.

The Perks: Fresh coffee, tea and delicious treats to keep our energy up!

LUC CHOIR

The LUC Choir practices Wednesdays in the Sanctuary from 7 pm - 10 pm. All are welcome.   For more information, contact Chris at musicdirector@lansingchurch.com 

WORSHIP SERVICE & HYMN SING AT CHARTWELL LANSING

Our next Worship Service will be Thursday, March 26th at 2:30 pm. Meet Rev. Brad there or if you require a ride, meet him at the church at 2 pm.

OUTREACH PROGRAMS

The Nearly New Shop is accepting donations Monday to Friday from 10 am - 4 pm. Volunteers are always appreciated and please remind your friends and neighbours that donations are accepted all week long. For more information, please visit our Nearly New Shop page on the Community & Outreach tab above.  The next opening is Saturday, March 28th from 10-1. Private shopping times can be arranged by emailing nearlynewshop@lansingchurch.com
