VOLUNTEERING:
If you are looking for some meaningful way to serve the local community, we would welcome any assistance in helping us to serve our clients. There are many tasks to perform such as: helping to set up the tables and food prior to being open (7:30 to 8:30 a.m.); helping our clients shop for their food; "bagging" bulk items into smaller portions; and in the putting away of food and close up at the end of each day.
Assistance is greatly appreciated from set up time beginning at 7:30 a.m. to close up by 11:15 a.m. on our open days. If you are interested in helping us to help those in the greatest need, you can contact the CHURCH OFFICE and leave your name and telephone number and the Food Bank Director will call you back, or Email the Food Bank Director at: Food Bank Director, or even better, come and visit us on our open days. See what we do and meet the wonderful people with whom you will be working. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older, and are subject to an interview and possible background police check.
We cannot accomodate those on social assistance looking for volunteer hours to increase their monthly amount.
