In addition to actual food donations, the Food Bank is also in need of Financial contributions as we must purchase 60% or 6 tons of our required food items each month to meet the needs of the volume of clients we now serve. The cost of basic food items has increased 15% or more in the past 6 months, and coupled with the volume of clients now needing our assistance, we are buying our basic food items at the rate of $3,000 per month, even at wholesale prices. And the need will grow.

If requested, you may receive an income tax charitable donation receipt from the church for donations of $20 or more. You must provide a full name, address & postal code so your receipt can be properly completed and mailed to you. Please make cheques payable to "Lansing United Church" with the notation "food bank" clearly written on the cheque.

Cheques can be mailed (Note: do NOT send cash by mail); or dropped off at the church office.
