To be eligible to obtain food from the Lansing Church food bank, ALL of the following guidelines must be met:
  1. You must live in and have a permanent address within our serving boundaries - 401 to Steeles Ave and between Victoria Park to Dufferin St (your postal code of your permanent address must begin with "M2" or "M3H".
  2. The 3 exceptions to this rule are: M2L and M2P - both south of the 401 -- and M2R (see below)
  3. Postal codes begining with anything else are outside of our serving area and you are NOT eligible.
  4. Your TOTAL average montly income must be less than $2,000
  5. The difference between your average monthly income and your "rent" must be less than $900
  6. To register, you must come in person to the food bank on the days and hours we are open, and you must bring two pieces of identification (Drivers License, health card, passport, immigration papers, birth certificate etc) plus proof of address, rent, income, and identification of any dependants that live with you.
  7. Eligible clients, once registered may visit the food bank ONCE PER MONTH

For M2R POSTAL CODE RESIDENTS

If your postal code starts with M2R, beginning December 5th, 2011, a new Food Bank will be opening at Northview Heights School, the north-west corner of Bathurst St and Finch Ave West. The hours will be: Monday and Wednesday evenings 6-8 p.m.plus Saturday 10:30-12:30. After December 5th, M2R residents must use this new food bank. Lansing will no longer be accepting clients with this postal code.
