SUNDAY SERVICES

 

 

Led by Rev. Frank Gabourel

Frank Burton Gabourel was ordained at Stoke-on-Trent by the British Conference. He served in the Caribbean prior to coming to Canada in 1965. Since that time Frank has served Massey Pastoral Charge, Union Church, Montreal; St. Matthew's United on St. Clair; Humbervale United Church; Riverside Emery-in Weston; and was interim Pastor at Humber Valley. Frank holds degrees from London

Universdity, McGill in Montreal,and The Graduate School at Drew, Madison New Jersey. Frank has shared in two major church developments: St. Matthew's-Bracondale House, in mid-town Toronto, and Humbervale Place on Royal York and Summet Crest.
He loves to travel and walk his Red Siberian Husky.

 

 

Led by Rev. Linda Levin

Of South African Jewish heritage, Linda taught high school Latin and remedial English in South Africa and London (England) before studying for ministry at Emmanuel College in Toronto. Ordained in 1979, she served for two years in northern Ontario and 29 years at Runnymede United, Toronto, before retiring in June, 2011. Her hobbies are swimming, nature walks, audio books, movies, growing vegetables and experimenting with creative vegan cooking. She has a heart for ex-offenders and is currently passionately involved in raising funds for Kenyan families in the slums of Kibera who have taken AIDS orphans into their own loving homes. Our annual Black History Observance Service will be shared with, and hosted by, St. George Anglican Church, Yonge Street at Churchill. The Heritage Singers will perform for us once again, and Jamaican fare will be offered during the post-service hospitality hour. Rides will be arranged for those who would like to be carpooled from Lansing to St. George; sign-up sheets will be available. Please invite your family and friends to celebrate with us.
